1st Raging Bull Series: Spring Edition 2019

On Saturday the 25th of May 2019 the 1st Raging Bull Series: Spring Edition 2019, will be held in “Spelletjescafé 2 Klaveren” Amsterdam. This day should all be about enjoying a game of Magic with fellow Wizards who share the same passion for Old School cards.

Within the Netherlands we have a strong group of dedicated Old School players which gather frequently to test their skills. The Gathering of the Knights of Thorn, Hill/Frost Giant Cup, Paladins of the North Cup, Camel Trophy & Draconian Cylix Series are all tournaments in the Netherlands organised by fans of Old School. With such a big line-up in such a small country there isn’t much more to wish for but still we thought there was something we could add to this fantastic range of tournaments.

There isn’t any Old School tournament held in Amsterdam and none of these tournaments mentioned above are 100% pure Swedish. While we support any kind of Old School Magic, we have decided to focus the Raging Bull Series on the original format of Old School, including its reprint policy. Old School Magic is enjoyed in many ways and we encourage you for this tournament to “play with what you got”.

(The latest changes will be used at Raging Bull)

Parking is never cheap in Amsterdam. Parking to the west of the “kostverlorenvaart” in “De Baarsjes” is the cheapest option available. Look for “Amsterdam – Geuzenkade, #14189”, check this picture for an overview (it’s now 4,50/hour!). If you are on the wrong side of the water it’s even more expensive, so please pay attention.

You can also park for free (during the weekend) at Sloterdijk station and take Tram 19 (15 minutes), look for “Amsterdam – Piarcoplein, #18216”. Check this picture to find the correct parking lot.

Public Transportation: Reachable by multiple tramlines from any trainstation or other location in Amsterdam.
Additional Information:
Coming from abroad? Why not combine an Old School Magic Tournament with a visit to the beautiful city of Amsterdam? Of course you can enjoy the city by yourself but we are also happy to meet-up for a game of Magic on Friday/Sunday or a tour around the city. Please let us know if you need any help with your booking and let’s get in touch so we can discuss other possibilities.

Started playing in 1995 when Ice Age was launched and quit playing in 1999 since I didn't like the fast rotation of cards. When I heard about Old School Magic in 2017 I returned to the scene and now I'm spending way to much time on Magic, loving it all the way!
