I’ve waited as long as possible but a live tournament is just not yet possible in Amsterdam. I just can’t wait to see you all in the flesh again but postponing or skipping Raging Bull is also not an option for me. Therefore I will organise another online Edition of the Raging Bull Series, this time on Tolaria thanks to Slanfan and his crew. I hope all those who are eager to play will join us for a day of Swedish Old School.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/h4>\n

Everything will be managed via Tolaria. If you don’t have an account, sign-up on Tolaria. In order to register send Richard “TaGMoM” Veenman a private message that you want to participate. I will then invite you for the tournament. You cannot sign-up yourself without messaging me.<\/p>\n

Planning<\/h4>\n

We will gather at 11:30 CEST on Saturday the 29th of May. We will check if all deckpics are uploaded, drop players who didn’t and will start the live broadcast on Timmy’s YouTube Channel. After several announcements we will start the 1st of 6 rounds Swiss. The start\/end time of each round will be announced up front. The rounds last 50\/55minutes and the end-time of a round you’ll play 5 additional turns. Both players should keep track of the end-time. Draws are fine, no orb flipping required to determine a winner. After each round there is a break of 15 minutes before the new pairings will be announced and another 5 minutes before the next round starts. The swiss rounds will end around 18:30 after which announcements and T8 will start. The tournament is expected to end before 22:30. If you can’t play all day, this tournament is unfortunately not for you. You’ll have to arrange for food and drinks during the tournament. Format & Rules
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We will play according to the Swedish Old School B&R & reprint policy. http:\/\/oldschool-mtg.blogspot.com\/p\/banrestriction.html<\/a> While I fully understand the desire of some players to allow for reprints, foreign cards and\/or ICE\/CE, these will not be allowed during this tournament. There are plenty of alternatives to play these cards and what makes the Raging Bull Series unique is that it is the only 100% Swedish tournament in the Netherlands. I would like to keep that uniqueness online as well.<\/p>\n

(Web)Tools \/ Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n

You’ll need a stable internet connection, good webcam setup including a microphone. Please test this up front! You will play all the matches in Tolaria. So therefor some Tolaria experience is strongly recommended. Play a testmatch with somebody so you get to learn the interface. While I will of course try to help everybody, I’m not your IT support department during the tournament. You’ll have to report scores yourself in Tolaria as well.<\/p>\n

Privacy & Mandatory Deckpic<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Non of your personal details (e-mail\/phone number) will be shared by me. However this tournament will be streamed live (we will pick random matches to stream), tournament results will be shared on the internet\/social media and your deckpics will be used. A mandatory deckpic is needed as some form of “social” control since we are playing online. We will also use your deckpic during the live stream, for determining the winner of the spice prize and in the tournament results. I would like to ask all of you to make a “clear” deckpic of all your cards, including sideboard. No deckpic means no play. You’ll have the option to keep your name hidden by using a nickname in all coverage. Please inform me about this during registration. However I cannot guarantee that your name will not be mentioned during the livestream as we are only human.<\/p>\n

Prizes & Tournament fee<\/h4>\n

I love to award some cool stuff during a live tournament but for an online tournament it all feels different to me. I will not ask for any sign-up fee and therefor will only award a Raging Bull Thropy Card for the winner and a small prize for the spiciest deck. The T4 and spiciest deck winner are also guaranteed a spot in next years live tournament. Also don’t forget the eternal bragging rights!<\/p>\n
